The 2010 Boobs*Bits Charity Tournament
The Boobs*Bits Charity Tournament is on again and this year it is being
held at Twin City Archers Gippsland. 28th and 29th August.
This
year they have a great selection of items for an auction on Saturday
evening as well

This is an easy-going tournament with the
emphasis on friendly rivalry in a fun environment. You will need to have
a current handicap rating. Teams are also encouraged and may consist of
any 3 archers of any bow type, any age, etc. shooting any of the rounds
on offer.

Protection Seminar
Reminder that the Member Protection Policy is to be held at Moorabbin
Archery Club on Saturday the 14th of August. It shall be conducted by
the National Member Protection Officer Mr John Hans.
With the
introduction of the Victoria Code of Conduct and the upcoming MOU it is
important that club committees fully understand their obligations to
their members.
Lunch provided by Archery Victoria. Bookings
essential. RSVP to the Archery Victoria CEO by Tuesday the 10th of
August.

Archery Victoria
Membership Fees
At the Council meeting on the 21st of May 2010 the
Council agreed to the new fee structure. Effective the 1st of July 2010
the new structure is:
Adult (18 and over)
$30
Youth (17 and under) $20
The
current Archery Victoria Family Discount Structure is retained.
The
Council also agreed to remove the Club Affiliation Fee.
Details
are being sent to the clubs today along with the updated membership
forms. These are also available for download.

On the 1st of July 2010 some clubs will be
creating invoices for the 10/11 membership period. With AA and AV being
on anniversary pricing since July 2009 the opportunity for clubs to
reconcile to this arrangement now exists.

with the AV Family Discount Structure.

Leprechaun Postal Shoot

2010 Silver Leprechaun World Wide Postal Shoot which will be the 50th

Indoor Field Event
An exciting new event is coming to Arrows Plus. The
Arrows Plus Indoor Safari has been designed as a brand new event
combining both Indoor and Field activities. FITA Field targets and IFFA
Animal Targets at unmarked distances. A bit of greenery to make it
really interesting and some great competition. This is a never before
shot event and one not to miss.
Saturday, 10th April 2010 is for
the traditional archers. Categories are Traditional (Modern Longbows),
Historical (ELBs, horsebows), Recurve (trad hunting recurves) – woods
only. Details on attached Flyer.
On Sunday, 11th April 2010, it
is the turn of the compound, recurve and barebow shooters. Details on

Recognises Masters
Following FITA Congress in Ulsan Korea where the 70m round was approved
for Masters Men (Recurve and Compound) and the 60m Round for Masters
Female (Recurve and Compound) which will come into force from the 1st
April 2010, Masters shooting in FITA Registered Tournaments will now be
able to claim FITA Stars. In the past this division and round was not
recognised by FITA and they could only claim Australian Stars.
If
the archer currently has claimed Australia Stars they can now claim FITA
Stars. This will be in force in time for the 2010 National Championships
in Brisbane.
